Posted by Seven Hungarian companies including CycloLab were awarded the qualification of “Research Center of Excellence”. The ceremony was held on 25 May 2024 in the building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS), where Tamas Freund, President of HAS gave laudation speech to the awardees.
The Science Qualification Committee of HAS evaluated the outstanding research activity of the companies based on the following criteria:
- Number of the patents granted in the last 5 years
- Utilization of IP rights
- Quality of the 10 scientific papers published in the last 10 years according to journal metrics of Scopus (Q1, Q2.)
- Number of researchers with degree Doctor of Sciences (DSc)
- National and international awards received by the research groups or individual researchers in the last 10 years
The brand “Research Center of Excellence” can be used for 5 years.
