Molecules (mdpi) invites the submission of original research papers and review articles concerning innovative synthetic pathways for new CD derivatives, including selectively modified macrocycles, CD-based polymers, and cyclodextrin-based metal–organic frameworks (CD-MOFs). Particular emphasis will be placed on advanced analytical techniques used to characterize host–guest systems, such as NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, physicochemical measurements, and computational modeling. Furthermore, this Special Issue aims to highlight the versatile applications of cyclodextrins across numerous research fields—including their significant role in fundamental studies—as well as in key sectors such as drug delivery systems, food technology, environmental remediation, and catalysis.
