This is Takashi Hayashita (Sophia University) from the Society of Cyclodextrin, Japan (SCJ). The current president of the SCJ is Dr. Keiji Terao, and I discussed with him and SCJ members. Since I retired from the university last year, the SCJ has decided to recommend Professor Hiroaki Kitagishi of Doshisha University as my successor as an international committee member of the International Cyclodextrin Symposia (ICS). We would appreciate to add Professor Kitagishi for the international member committee from Japanese side.

Prof. Kitagishi is also in charge of the 12th Asian Cyclodextrin Conference (ACC 2025) to be held in November 7th-10th, 2025. The symposium will be held in Kyoto, a tourist attraction in Japan, at Doshisha University. Though it will be two months after EuroCD 2025, which will be held in Milan in September, we look forward to the participation of cyclodextrin researchers from around the world.
