European Symposium on Controlled Drug Delivery

The 16th edition of the European Symposium on Controlled Drug Delivery will be held on April 8 – 10, 2020 in Egmond aan Zee, The Netherlands.

The program comprises about 25 lectures given by invited experts from academia and industry on cutting edge topics in this field. Sufficient time is reserved for discussions and meeting of colleagues during the lecture program and our highly successful poster session.

Scientific topics of the symposium will include:

  • NUCLEIC ACID DELIVERY

Challenges and opportunities in controlled delivery of antisense oligonucleotide, small interfering RNA, and DNA therapeutics.

  • PROTEIN DELIVERY

Meeting the special requirements for the delivery of vulnerable proteins.

  • NOVEL CONCEPTS, MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUES

New approaches to overcome physical and biological barriers in controlled drug delivery.

  • TRANSLATIONAL DRUG DELIVERY RESEARCH

Translation of nanomedicines from academia to industry.

  • TARGETED DRUG DELIVERY

Exploiting extra- and intracellular transport mechanisms for targeted delivery.

  • IMAGE-GUIDED DRUG DELIVERY

Imaging techniques & stimuli-responsive carriers and their role in controlled drug release.

 

Besides the invited lecture program, a lively poster session with drinks and snacks will be held on Wednesday evening. Two poster prizes of € 500 will be awarded for the best presentations!

The symposium covers 2.5 days; from Wednesday morning 8 April 2020 until and including lunch on Friday 10 April 2020.

The conference venue is located only 50 km from Amsterdam and Schiphol airport, and transport facilities will be arranged on dates of arrival and departure.
